Thank you for accepting my registration : ) I live in Sydney, Australia - moved here about 8 years ago from the US. I've joined your community as I'm just getting back into my writing. I've been working on a couple of books for a few years now - you'd think i'd be done - but life happens - and fun things get put aside. I've found this website thru Holly Lisle's website - i'm just looking for a supportive community of others like myself who can understand the need/passion to write and on a selfish note - I need help sometimes and objective opinions on my work. My genre is horror - and here in Oz horror / and sci-fi are not favorites - for the life of my i don't get why - but perhaps i can help change that : )

I'm looking forward to meeting new friends here - and I thank you again for the priveledge of membership.

cheers

Gudday fellow Aussie. Er. From the US? Ah well that's ok, nobody's perfect.

And yeah, I don't know that horror and scifi are incredibly strong here, but I see someone new reading Stephanie Meyer on the train almost every day, so amongst the reading public there is certainly a market.

Now, if we could just dream up a book that involved beer, pies, sports and enough Strine and Tall poppy syndrome to appeal to the masses - and also didn't need to be read, so that we appealed to more than all three of the Australian reading public - we'd be rolling in it.

Unfortunately, the writing of said book eludes me.

Add vampires and werewolves and you have a best seller.
