My friend died today. Cancer. RIP. Can't write. No motivation. IP: Logged |

Sorry to hear that. My condolences. Don't worry about writing right now unless it will help with what you're feeling. Hang in there. IP: Logged |

That's too bad, Zero. Cancer is a tough way to go. When my mom died, it was a motivation to write (and a way of releasing some of the grief). I wrote about her. Just remember, your friend is no longer suffering. IP: Logged |

when my uncle died in feb 08 i was deployed and snowed in, i dednt want to do anything but stay in bed and sleep due to the lack of motivation. after a day or 2 i got out of bed and played Halo with the rest of the Plt. i could not let it get me down for i had a mission to do and i could be called to go out at a moments notis. Zero, I feel for you. I had a friend die last week. He was apparently driving along and began having a heart attack. He pulled off to the side of the road and died. I really got kind of mad about the whole thing. It was a fairly busy road and somehow he ended up sitting in the car for two days before anyone realized he was dead. He was only 36. IP: Logged |

I extend my deepest condolences. I lost a few loved ones this year. I am not the best at dealing with death, but after losing one of my best friends, I found that writing helped and that it could be used not only as a medium to convey my emotions but a wat to eternalize my feelings toward said friend. The result was a story which I entered in the Return to Luna Competiion. It did not win, but I felt it was an accomplishment nonetheless. It also serves as a memorial of sorts. IP: Logged |

Thank you. The funeral is soon. It's just never easy, is it. IP: Logged |

Sorry. Each person mourns differently, and each mourning experience is unique (as each person and each relationship is unique.) For me work, whatever that entails, is how I work through the emotions. I once spent three days playing Pokemon, when my scoutmaster died. IP: Logged |
