Very sad. I used to get to a lot more author events when I lived in the LA area; they just don't come to Dallas, even though it the 5th largest city in the US. [Frown]

That's just my point. I was recruited by SVU, but I decided to go to BYU. Then I found out that OSC taught a writing class at SVU. Sad day!

*sigh* well next time he goes I'll be at that convention or whatever its called. I live in rigaud a little suburban town with a francophone majority but I'll blackmail my parents to drive me to see Orsen if that is what it takes to get to Montreal ghwahaha.

I think it's almost funny that OSC will fly to NZ for a convention but skip going to the midwest or west coast. Then again he's coming to my city.

He came to Ohio for Shadow of the Hedgemon tour and that was a long drive for me to go on but as I look all the ones that are withing 12 hours of Michigan land on bad days for me to try and go! [Cry]

Yeah -- I would definately call in for a sick day/ vacation/personal leave or whatever if he ever came within driving distance from me.

It's high enough on my list of "things to do before I die" to make it happen.
