so here I am

reading Crystal City

when I read a protion
where La Tia asks Alvin to lead the slaves across the river and what not

and Arthut Stuart mentions making a hurricane

Alvin mentions that would be a bad idea considering the how low the city is

just thought that was a bit ironic
a little sick and twisted I am

to find that humorous

but either way
it sparked my curiosity

Want to talk Pre Cog in the Red, Green, Blue Mars Series Kim Stanely Robinson had a main character that was resposible for disbursement of FEMA funds for the South East Coast after the 'Disasters' who helped create a massive surge of jobs, hope and infrastucture, and the timing is pretty damn close too!

Oh man reading any of The Crystal City after Katrina would be weird. they spend close to the entire time in New Orleans. [Frown]
