So I got the audio version of this from audible. It was very intersting. I was struck again, how... odd it is that the person who wrote Ender's Game could also write "Freeway Games". I mean, I suppose it's a testament to exactly how diverse human beings are, but seriously, "Freeway Games" is really REALLY twisted. I've been trying to comb my brain, but I cannot think of another author who has such a, um, diverse collection of works. Can you?

Ray Bradbury. His short stories have a diverse array of topics. From the twisted, to horrific, to terrible, to simple and even sweet.
He's also the master of the short story.
Stephen King, while usually sticking to the horror genre, has also written diversely different material as well. He wrote Stand By Me, after all.

I suppose, but I suppose I didn't find the same sort of power in Stephen King's stuff, it's been a long time since I actually read anything by him though. The only thing I've read by Bradbury is Farenheit 451.... it was ok, but I dunno, kinda dull at the same time. Of course, part of that might be that I already knew EVERYTHING that was going to happen.
