In the book Ender's Shadow, Sister Carlotta spoke about how Bean isn't at his full intellegence because he has sustained brain damage due to malnutrition, amongst other possible causes. With this being said, it will be interesting to see in Shadows in Flight how smart Beans children with Anton's key turned turn out to be (assuming they haven't endured any mental hampering).

Yes, especially considering the fantastic tutoring they will receive from Bean (unless he opted for stasis?) and the added benefit of working amongst their siblings of outstanding intellect. I think they will turn out to be quite the politicians, seeing as there are no wars to be fought.

To be successful as a politician requires interpersonal skills of the kind they just won't be able to develop locked in a space ship with each other.

porteiro makes a good point in that they might not know how to be social with other people. Although they do have the genetic code of both Bean and Petra, with Anton's Key turned.. I can't see that studying how people interact will be a problem for them
