Overwhelmed with a deep repulsion
For sights seemed seen so commonly
Now I have come to be
The walking enmity
Assimilate into a culture
Of post morality
From what I've seen
I hate humanity

Rot with repulsion
I'll write the world a brand new song

Look upon your bleak creation
But is it truly me
That's got to be
The human blasphemy?

I'll set the world on fire
And in the burning light
I'll write my first love song
And I will feel warmth

Hide your eyes, in heaven and the lies
Believe, relieve, I'll end the world tonight

Overwhelmed with a deep repulsion
For sights seemed seen so commonly
Now I have come to be
The walking enmity,
For humanity, the human blasphemy
I'll end the world tonight

You make it known
That this world is not your home
With your red eyes all the time
And your strong but weakened mind
Too weak to smile
Speaking openly of danger to a child

"Fifty-nine Ford" Crow Greenspun

I prefer the Bruce version of "Because the Night," but it was actually Paiit Smith's version which became fanous(I though it was Joan Jett, duh)
Natalie Merchant has a new album out, by the way.

I cannot leave here, I cannot stay
Forever haunted, more than afraid
Asphyxiate on words I would say
I'm drawn to a blackened sky as I turn blue

There are no flowers, no, not this time
There'll be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find
I'd show a smile, but I'm too weak
I'd share with you, could I only speak, just how much this hurts me

I cannot stay here, I cannot leave
Just like all I loved, I'm make-believe
Imagined heart, I disappear
Seems no one will appear here and make me real

There are no flowers, no, not this time
There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find
I'd show a smile but I'm too weak
I'd share with you, could I only speak, just how much this hurts me

I'd tell you how it haunts me
I'd tell you how it haunts me
(It cuts through my days and sinks into my dreams)
I'd tell you how it haunts me
(It cuts through my days and sinks into my dreams)
You don't care that it haunts me

There are no flowers, no, not this time
There will be no angels gracing the lines, just these stark words I find
I'd show a smile but I'm too weak
I'd share with you, could I only speak, just how much this hurts me
Just how much this hurts me
Just how much you

When you see her
Angel with a broken wing
Brush her hair from her aching eyes
Distant thunder, Roll the clouds away
Hear her laugh, On a winter day

Have you seen HER? So fine and pretty
Fooled me with HER style and ease
And I feel HER from across the room
Yes, it's love in the third degree

I can’t walk out
Because I love you too much baby

Why can’t you see
What you’re doing to me
When you don’t believe a word I say?

So let's start this religion with a question
Let's start with the dreams we may have left behind
Let's build a fortress of love by the river
With all of the happiness that we can find

Then looking upwards
I strain my eyes and try
to tell the difference between shooting stars and satellites
from the passenger seat as you are driving me home.

"Do they collide?"
I ask and you smile.
With my feet on the dash
the world doesn't matter.

When you feel embarrassed then I'll be your pride
When you need directions then I'll be the guide
for all time.

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

The Scorpions - Send Me An Angel

I couldn't remember who sings the other (better, in my opinion) song of the same title with different lyrics, which goes like this:

It get's in your eyes
It's makin' you cry
don't know what to do
don't know what to do
Send me an angel

(The Scorpions song is the one I am using, so don't link from the second lyrics, I just want someone to tell me who sings that song)

EDIT: [Wall Bash] Okay, the word was angels, with an s, can mine still count? I'm too lazy to delete it. I swear it'll never happen again, I always watch for that, this is the first time I've missed it. I need to go to bed.

And even though we ain't got money, i'm so in love with ya honey,
And everything will bring a chain of love.
And in the morning when i rise, you bring a tear of joy to my eyes,
And tell me everything is gonna be alright.

This bed is on fire
With passionate love
The neighbours complain about the noises above
But she only comes when she’s on top

My therapist said not to see you no more
She said you’re like a disease without any cure
She said I’m so obsessed that I’m becoming a bore, oh no
Ah, you think you’re so pretty

Caught your hand inside the till
Slammed your fingers in the door
Fought with kitchen knives and skewers
Dressed me up in womens clothes
Messed around with gender roles
Dye my eyes and call me pretty

Moved out of the house, so you moved next door
I locked you out , you cut a hole in the wall
I found you sleeping next to me, I thought I was alone
You’re driving me crazy, when are you coming home

James "Laid"

Ok, "out" is kind of a weak link but I just love this entire album and had to get it up here.

ooh, I've been waiting to do this one! [Big Grin]

"We all know the girls that I'm talking about
well they are time bombs and they are ticking
and the only question is when they'll blow up
and they'll blow up; we know that without a doubt
cause they're those girls, yeah those girls that let their emotions get the best of them

And I've contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
LET'S get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
so we'll be tipped off to when they're ticked off
cause we'll know just what they're thinking
cause what they're thinking...

She's so pretty but she doesn't always act that way
her mood's out swinging on the swing set almost every day
she said to me that she's so happy it's depressing
and all i said was "someone get that girl a mood ring"..."

I look good in a glass pack
I look good and mean
I look good in metallic sick wraparound blackout tease
I scud along the horizon, I drink some sweet tree
I get high in my low-ass boot-cut jean
I like being seen
I look good with my drink-eat-no-sleep, take-a-leap longevity
I get high on my attitude, latitude, 1973
I'm in deep

My head's on fire and high esteem
Carry my dead, bored, been there, done that, anything
Oh, the wake-up BOMB
Oh, the wake-up BOMB
Oh, the wake-up BOMB
Oh, the wake-up BOMB
My head's on fire and high esteem
Get drunk and sing along to Queen
Practice my T-Rex moves and make the scene
Carry my dead, bored, been there, done that, anything

think i'm going for a walk now
i feel a little unsteady
i don't want nobody to follow me
'cept maybe you
i could make you happy you know
if you weren't already
i could do a lot of things
and i do

tell you the truth i prefer
the worst of you
too bad you had to have a better half
she's not really my type
but i think you two are forever
and i hate to say it but
you're perfect together

so f*** you
and your untouchable face
and f*** you
for existing in the first place
and who am i
that i should be vying for your touch
and who am i
i bet you can't even tell me that much

two-thirty in the morning
and my gas tank will be empty soon
neon sign on the horizon
rubbing elbows with the moon
a safe haven of sleepless
where the deep fryer's always on
radio is counting down
the top 20 country songs
and out on the porch the fly strip is
waving like a flag in the wind
y'know, i don't look forward
to seeing you again soon
you'll look like a photograph of yourself
taken from far far away
and i won't know what to do
and i won't know what to say

except f*** you...

i see you and i'm so perplexed
what was i thinking
what will i think of next
where can i hide
in the back room there's a lamp
that hangs over the pool table
and when the fan is on it swings
gently side to side
there's a changing constellation
of balls as we are playing
i see orion and say nothing
the only thing i can think of saying

is f*** you...

But the BAND on the bus
And theyre waiting to go
Gotta drive all night and do the show in Chicago
Or Detroit
I dont know
We do so many shows in a row
And these towns all look the same
We just pass the time in the hotel room
And wander round backstage
Til those lights come up
And we hear that crowd
And we remember why we came

You talk of over throwing power with violence as your tool
You speak of liberation and when the people rule
Well ain't it people rule right now, what differnce would there be?
Just another set of bigots with their rifle-sights on me
But what about those people who don't want your new restrictions?
Those that disagree with you and have their own convictions?
You say thay've got it wrong becuase they don't agree with you
So when the recolution comes you'll have to run them through
Yet you say that revoution will bring freedom for us all
Well freedom just ain't freedom when your back's against the wall...

Music was his life
It was not his livelihood.
And it made him feel so happy.
And it made him feel so good.
And he sang from his heart.
And he sang from his soul.
He did not know how well he sang.
It just made him whole.

She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that
special place
And if I stared too long
I'd probably break down and cry

Sweet child of mine
Sweet love of mine

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain

When I think of heaven
Deliver me in a black - winged bird
I think of flying down into a sea of pens and feathers
And all other instruments of faith and sex and God
In the belly of a black - winged bird.
Don't try to feed me
I've been here before
And I deserve a little more

I belong in the service of the Queen
I belong anywhere but in between
She's been crying and I've been thinking
And I am the Rain King

Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?

-Pink Floyd, "Comfortably Numb".

Home - is where I want to be
But I guess I'm already there
I come home - -she lifted up her wings
Guess that this must be the place
I can't tell one from another
Did I find you, or you find me?
There was a time Before we were born
If someone asks, this where I'll be

-Talking Heads, Naive Melody (This Must Be the Place)

PS: The next post bloody well better go off my lyrics... [Grumble] [Smile]

Ice is forming on the tips of my wings
Unheeded warnings, I thought I thought of everything
No navigator to guide my way home
Unladened, empty and turned to stone

Pink Floyd, "Learning to Fly".

There ya go. [Smile] *pat pats*

PS (I hate it when people do that too).
