I have to say, Parachat is absolutely the worst interface for a chat program I've ever seen. And I'm including the old HTML ones where you had to go to a new page every time someone posted.

Why Parachat? Surely there's better chat software out there?
[plug] And while I'm whining, why UBB? Why not use one of the free and totally customizable BB systems floating around? I was suspicious of them at first, after having used UBB so long, but there's no way I could afford UBB. I've really grown to like phpBB2, though... it's just as powerful and customizable as UBB, but it's free! [/plug]

Someone called 'Akimbo' wanted me to "tell Polly-want-a-cracker that UBB is better than the free, 'customizeable' BBs because it is supported better, has more straightforward code and is overall more powerful (in terms of stability and different things you can do with it) than the others."

I have to agree with you Poly. Parachat blows, espesially for us mac users. Also, what is so cool about phpBB2 is that it is constantly worked on, and is pretty stable from what i've seen so far. The best part of course is that it's free. Posts: 1015 | Registered: Aug 2001
