No particular reason to this thread. I just noticed that fish are under represented on this site. So there we go. Fish.

The Babel Fish is small, yellow, leechlike, and probably the oddest thing in the universe. It feeds on brainwave energy absorbing all unconcious frequencies and then excreteing telepathically a matrix formed from the concious frequencies and nerve signals picked up from the speech centres of the brain. The practical upshot of which is if you stick one in your ear you instantly understand anything said to you in any form of language.
Thank you.

New Fish?
For Old?

Beware The Fish!

It's amazing how many fishy things there are going on.

Stig is right. Fish are underrepresented here.

Cool. While googling for one of the new fish, I found some algae eaters to take care of the pond.

Any ideas where more fish could be recruited? I've tried advertising at a local aquarium, but have since learnt that fish do not take kindly to such direct marketing techniques. This is why there is so little "made for fish" TV.

Telemarketing is always an option. Failing that, there's gill nets....

Edit: The gill nets are much more humane, however...

Are there any other animals that begin with "F" that you have trouble with, or is it just fish and ferrets?

There are actually a lot of fish owners on the board, maybe we could get them to pass the good word along. Laitment, more chatter than poster, would be the best place to start, however, kwsni has some fish of her own.

Hey! You're suppose to be on vacation!

And I can't see any good reason why fish must be represented on this board. What have fish ever done for us? Nothing for nobody, that's what.

I only warned you of the apocolypse back in March!!!!!!!!! You call that nothing!?!?!

You know, next time you go fishing you can expect a good number of my brothers to jump up and smack you in the face.

Stig, lack of fish on this board is something that has always bothered me as well, but after thinking long and hard I still haven't come up with any good solutions. . I'm afraid the problems goes beyond the ignorant and hostile remarks of certain openly speciesist members. Whether we chose to admit it or not, our whole communitity bears a deep anthrocentrisim that makes it difficult to attract and keep fish members.

I had fish and chips (though I didn't eat the fries) for dinner friday night. We really should get more fish around this site.

I do indeed have fish, though lait has WAY more than me.

aspectre, those catfish are really adorable! I love my Corydoras and my clown loaches, though. And my plecostomus is named after my fishy mentor, Laitment.

Ni!
