As I recall you guys got together for the last LotR opening. The question is, is there some theater where we could watch the two newly released extended edtions back to back with RotK.
And is everyone up for it? Given how long it takes us to plan stuff I figure we should start now, while we are still basking in the glow of Wierd Al. Also it is in December which can put a damper on things in general anyway due to holiday plans.

I was thinking we need an abreviation for our geographic locale and could call it william for short, but then was thinking of WIIAMOIL, which could be wham-mole. Up for rodent torturing anyone?

It wasn't for the opening -- some of us saw TTT together in January.
I was thinking that if Bob is going to be hanging out in the Midwest in November, maybe we ought to have a gathering then. Also, I think we should start calling them "moot"s.

I'm all for a moot, though probably not for opening night. It's a Thursday, after all - we wouldn't have time to do anything but see the movie! But maybe January again. Though, there's also WenchCon in January, so it can't be that weekend (which is MLK weekend, just for reference).

As of now I don't know that we've had anyone from MN attend. Hence the lack of inclusion in the alphabet soup. I have only attended the last two events so if there was someone back in the dark ages that I don't know about, I'm sure Tom Davidson will remind me shortly. MO just made the list due to Dan_Raven and his lovely wife.
I like Moot too! Though we all talk to fast for it to be an Ent-Moot.

January sounds better, I'm assuming people probably already have New Year's plans? I was just going to say I didn't have any but then I remembered I have to pick up my little brothers from southern IL on New Year's where they will be at a youth conference. This was my mother's idea not mine. I'd better not miss the OU football game!

I have contacted National Amusements, the company that owns most of the theater screens around here putting in my 2 cents worth that they should partake of the offer from New Line on Tuesday Dec. 16. I have told them that I would attend all three showings on Tuesday(FOTR,TTT, ROTK) as well as seeing ROTK three more times on Wednesday.
I am going to be taking at least one day off of work,(had is scheduled Jan. 2 this year) and may even have to take off an addition 1/2 day for the back to back to back showing. My wife even want to come along.
Every one should come to Dayton Ohio for this. I am well versed in hosting parties, as I have hosted the OrneryCon at my house for the past two years.

I'd be in, but it would have to be very close to Madison, seeing as I have three (maybe four, not quite sure yet) finals on the 16th and the 17th. Not three each, but three total.
January for me is a definite no-go. Sorry

I only have 7 days of vacation that have to last for 6 months. Actually I don't have any at all til November. So I'm not sure about taking a whole day off for LotR.
