Why does anyone need to make that much money? What is their argument for needing a pay raise?

I saw a bunch of legislators on TV, both republican and democrat, arguing about how Social Security is doling more out now than was put in by its current recipients, proportionately.

You know, even if it is the same, they'll still get $3,280 more than I will. [Wink]

And, since 1999, their income has increased $21,300. Mine has gone up $276. And sadly, $240 of that has gone to increased insurance premiums. But, bonus, that's still an increase of $36 a year! And people wonder how I live so well. [Big Grin]

This is what happens when a population demographic votes in mass when compared to others. Politicians will cater to them at the expense of other generations. Gen X and Y need to open their eyes.
