Quick Change was a terrible movie that we only half paid attention to. There was, however, one great scene where one character said to the other, "Let me explain it to you."

The explaination was a poke in the eye.

We have adopted this custom. Beware of any offer to explain anything.

This gesture is generally followed by laughter, and I was thrilled to see the forum adopt my custom and make it a smilie. It's like a little piece of home out here for all of you to be part of.

Did I lose you there?

Let me explain it to you.

While I haven't seen Quick Change, this is a nod to Fawlty Towers, when Fawlty says "Manuel, let me explain", the pokes him in the eye.

If you haven't seen this classic brit comedy, shame on you!
