I'll keep my eyes open. I'm playing a Wood Elf too, at the moment.
I'm making excellent money selling the armor of the assassins who keep trying to kill me in my sleep at this point. At first they were giving me trouble, but now I just paralyze them with a sword of paralyzation, and fill them full of arrows at point blank range. Works like a charm.

Yep, that's the one. Use it all the time. I had a staff that did the same thing, but I sold it.

Yes, the Dwemer Jinkblade. Most excellent. I had an assassin that I got up to about 30th level. Head of the Morag Tong. She still used the Dwemer Jinkblade as her "1st strike" weapon. Follwed with a hit from her Black Hands Dagger, and then she backs away and watches her foes die while still paralyzed -- and gets healed in the process.
She was very evil. A lot of fun to play too.

That Steel Blade of Heaven is useful, isn't it? I've found two of them so far.
My character is mid-32nd level at this point, and is in the process of having his House Hlaalu (sp?) stronghold built.
I have to say, this is the first gave I've ever played in which my character was sexually harrassed.

Hey, has anyone else noticed just how much some of the NPCs in Morrowind sound like Triumph, the Comic Insult Dog? It's uncanny. I keep expecting to hear one of them say "Wealth beyond measure, Bosmer...for me to POOP ON!"

That dwemer jinkblade is danmm useful, but you don't get it if you aren't a short blade specialist (or at least, I haven't gotten it). So I went for the next best thing. I stole as much ordinator armor as I could carry, went to the mudcrab (he's a talking mudcrab with an expense account double creeper's and he lives on an island near Mzanch) sold it all over the course of a few days, and then soultrapped some skeletons in a tomb. I then got a steel claymore and enchanted it with pralyze, cast when strike, for 3 seconds. It's great. You can make hundreds of thousands off indoril armor, and then make totally bad*** enchantments from it. Though this character isn't quite up to killing a golden saint yet.

another hillarious weapon- there's a staff of shaming in the vivec arena storage (above the morag tong). It drains personality. It is literally an ugly stick. I love it.

Ha! An ugly stick, that's great! Anybody else come across the remains of Indiana Jones?
I'm going to have to find that talking mudcrab--I've been despairing of ever finding anyone who will pay me what some of my equipment is worth.
My character is currently 33rd level, and his short sword abilities are at 100, which seems to be as high as they can go. I'm able to take out a golden saint without ever letting her get a chance to strike, which is kind of fun. I'm in the process of bumping my axe, marksmanship, and destruction abilities up to 100. They're all in the mid 60s right now.
I'm a little bit concerned--getting to level up is an aspect of the game that I enjoy, but I seem to be approaching maximum levels, both in terms of attributes and abilities, and I haven't even started on the expansion pack plotlines yet.
