Some people in one of the graduate programs I interact with are studying the effects of constant computer use with hand/eye coordination. They've asked me to post the link here and then have you add your comments.
Because one of the tests also incorporate sound, they request your speakers are on, just to make sure the test results are accurate.

I was expecting something, (maybe because a computer site is funded by Johnson & Johnson?) but not that. Scary.

Well, since I read this thread while waiting for the site to load I was expecting something so I didn't get the full effect (though it still startled me). However I was sitting here clicking things just waiting for something to jump out at me so I got that adreneline.

I had a bit of a feeling that this might have been a prank, but I usually am not naturally startled as it is. I didn't even blink or twitch when it happened.

Heh. I knew better. Didn't even click the link. I learned my lesson after the 'color blindness' test.
