Okay, I guess this is cheating because I wanted to reply to Taalcon on his saying Equilibrium was better than the Matrix, but he edit-switched on me so I was checked to see if I might have copied the original sentence, and this is what was in there. It was a copy from Slash.

Copied and pasted from my history instructor's assignment list on my course website. I copied and Ctrl V'ed it into Word so I could get started on it. I have until next week to complete it.

quote: If I had a friend who refused to ever meet me at my house, who canceled at the last second whenever we did make plans, and who disappeared for long stretches of time with no explanation, chances are we wouldn't become close friends or remain friends for long. Behavior that is symptomatic in someone with a disorder is wildly selfish and untrustworthy for someone without it.
When is it okay to blame the disorder? And...if the disorder gets invoked to let them off of things, is it actually wrong of me to come to assume that they can't be trusted? Whatever the reason for it, the result is the same. I think if you want to claim largess for some actions because of it, you can't be upset when someone assumes you are going to act in ways that require large amounts of largess. In a completely voluntary relationship, exactly what role does the disorder play?
Corollary with that, how do you know the line between someone experiencing symptoms that make it look like they are, say, untrustworthy and that person simply being untrustworthy on their own?
Sadly, from another thread here.

quote:What I use the term “familiar odors” for is to explain how my past, in family, friendships and relationships, affect the way I am now. The paradigms that I sift all my incoming information through. Maybe I had a classroom bully named Greg when I was growing up, who constantly tormented me. Now I’m an adult, but when I meet someone named Greg, I may just for a moment bristle-up and get defensive or shrink back and be reluctant to know more about them. It’s a “familiar odor.”

Yeap, that's it. I almost always copy a letter after I finish copying something. I guess I'm just unnaturally cautious... I don't want anyone seeing what I've copied before. I'll come back some other time, hopefully with something more interesting.
