I have to really think about this one so don't expect any answers for a while.
It seems like there should be a natural distaste for this type of argument resulting in ignoring what the poster has said. (I admit I have been in this category.) It does occur with some n00bs and trolls. But we at Hatrack are by nature arguers, most of us, and don't want to miss a chance to retaliate to a half-formed argument, because it's usually so easy to refute. Plus, if we ignore it, it makes it seem like we agreed with the person. I would suggest a "no comment" smily to be used in place of an actual answer to these types of posts, but it would get used by people who don't feel like responding to a really wellthoughtout post.
By my rambling you should realize that I don't have the answer to this.

What do australians know? I'm pretty sure there was some kind of study done that said 99% of upside-down people are illogical.

Plus we have the *actual* teleport. We're just not telling anyone. At least, not until we know we can teleport a kangaroo and a carton of beer safely...

I think the fact that your words stay and can be posted in the same thread over and over should tend to make folks more careful and selective. They can be linked to in future threads. Though when too much of that starts happening my eyes start to glaze.

I guess it was an ironical way to say that we don't usually treat each other that way. But you were kidding, weren't you ?
