I dread the upcoming election year. Not because I don't wan't to take part in the process, but because I'm so sick of not knowing who to believe in the political process anymore. I'm already sick of the posturing, the lies, the deceit and the overall nastiness of the election, and it's only March.

Is there a way to cut through the crap to get to what the important political issues are without a spin from one side or a slant from someone on the other?

You know, something like this?

http://www.factcheck.org/default.aspx

Can we do it here?

Is it possible for us to start a thread this election season that isn't peppered with politics, doesn't lend itself to hyperbole, that tells the facts in a neutral, undisputable fashion? Is it possible.

If it were, I know it would make my election year search for good candidates a lot easier. I'm just not sure if it can really be done. Although I do know that if it can't be done here, it can't be done anywhere.

The most effective solution, I think, is for us all to join the socialist party.

Everything you need to know about our foreign policy without the politics. All major presidential candidates and their advisors, both Democrat and Republican have been and are members.
