If anyone's still looking for a g-mail account I just got 4 invites. My e-mail address is in my profile, and the first four people to e-mail me will get them.

Hmmmm.. google hasn't given me any invites to give away in a long time -- I wonder why? The head of security here at work says he is going to revoke my security pass card if I don't give him the next invite I get from gmail.....

I've heard that there are some still floating around...whether or not they are just folks that didn't send theirs out or what I'm not sure.

I have one invitation. It was on the left, at the bottom - says "invite a friend to gmail."
So, first one to email me gets it: caysedai (at) gmail (dot) com (what else could it be, right?)
edited to add: when you email someone to request an invitation, put your first and last name in the email. That and your email address are all that we need for the invitation.
You'll know it when you get one. Not only is it in vivid red type at the bottom of the left nav, but all your e-mails from non gmail friends will ask if you want to invite him or her.
I didn't get one for over a month after I was invited [thanks, again, peterh]. Crystal got four invites just over a week after she got an account so it seems to be pretty random.

Lalo - do you have popups blocked? You might have to allow popups from gmail.com because the invitation is a separate window.

Okay, it looks like I have seven invites total. I still can't get the damn window to pop up, god alone knows why (Norton Internet Security confuses my feeble little mind), but post your name and e-mail addy and a way for me to get them to you, and they're yours.

Is there a way to make it stop opening up thousands of windows? Or do I just have to get used to that?

With the recent flurry of activity, there might not be an Jatraquero/as left who want a gmail account.
But in case not: I do have two invites. EDIT: One left!
The first two who e-mail me [address is in profile] will receive them.
As always, don't forget to check your bulk/trash/spam folder since Gmail's e-mail system for the invites is often interpreted as spam by other systems filters.

You can just put any name in there to send it, and the person it gets sent to can change it, afterwards. So it doesn't really matter if it's their correct name.

Hahahaha, I'm dumb. I've kept checking my account, which I don't really use much for new invitations, but I haven't seen any. Then today I realized that I have a few, but they moved the little link to them. Hahahaha, I'm so dumb.
So, a Gmail invitation to the first three people to write a "roses are red" poem or a limerick in this thread. (If anybody is still waiting for one of these gems and hasn't emailed the beautiful and generous tt&t) Roses are red, But flowers are lame, So sign up with GMail, And get in the game.Posts: 1592 | Registered: Jan 2001
