The basic conceptual tragedy of all the noble Hatrack Breeding Experiments (HBE) is that while potential mates may be well suited for one another, they also have staggering odds against being within driving distance.
I mean, some of us make do anyway, but still. Oceans suck major bad-mojo.

Single and not particularly happy about it, but better alone than with the wrong person I suppose.

You know, so did I, didn't we start a club? it's on this page of the hug thread, i think Are you bailing out of the "guys who don't know when to give up" club? I have to say, being alone and bitter is almost as good as being used by a bi%^h of a woman.

Eh. My girlfriend has been 'too busy' for the past two weeks. Time to face singleness again, I think.

Oh, I'm sure it will come if I call her a sufficient amount of times. But I won't! I'll be strong! I'll post here instead!

hmmm... I guess I qualify for this thread now. I'm not quite a full fledged member but my status is definately moving that way. So far it really sucks but I'm too new to it right now. Maybe I can work real hard and be become hatrack stud muffin of the year. Yea, I can see it now... stud muffins where a tiarra and a pretty pink too-tooo, right? yea, I'd make a real pretty stud muffin.

"Shall I try a lame pickup line, or can I just buy you a drink?"
Ok, i've only used it once, it worked, up till I was kicked out of the bar, that pesky not being 21 thing.

Morning comes and morning goes with no regret And evening brings the memories I can't forget Empty rooms that echo as I climb the stairs And empty clothes that drape and fall on empty chairs
And I wonder if you know That I never understood That although you said you'd go Until you did I never thought you would.
-Don McLean, Empty Chairs
Actually, I don't feel like that song at all. But Katie's link made me laugh (mega props for despair links) which somehow triggered the fact that she's said she likes the song Vincent which naturally led to this song as it's by the same feller.

Trevor: Yeah, but EVERYBODY's all jaded about those sorts of things. You have to consider though...really! A lot of times, we really do want to be friends...we aren't just saying it.

Bob, I love that song. Don McClean was the only CD I've played continuously since I started listening to music. He's just lovely.

I think my favourite semi-bitter love song is by the Philosopher Kings. Actually, I think my favourite album about girls is their Famous, Rich, & Beautiful. But the song I'm thinking of goes a little like this:
we don't make love in the afternoon on the stairs, in the rest room when you're here you're never in the mood you don't love me like you used to do
I don't know 'cause I've been wrong before something's gone behind the bedroom door it's in your kiss it's in the way you move you don't love me like you used to do
I haven't really had this exact experience, I just love the song. It grooves.

I missed you so much that I begged you to fly here to see me You must have broke down because you finally said that you would But now that you're here I just feel like I'm constantly dreaming Cause something's gotta go wrong 'cause I'm feelin' way too damn good
It's like everytime I turn around I fall in love and find my heart face down And where it lands is where it should This time it's like the two of us should've probably start to fight Cause something's gotta go wrong 'cause I'm feelin' way too damn good Feelin' way too damn good
-Too dam happy, by Nickel Back
Yep, it's kinda like that. You know she's done with you, but she just hasn't thought of a way to let you know, she wants to just tell you, but you'll never let it go. As you can tell I'm just a wee bit bitter about the last one, But then again, she was a bit of a bum. I'm glad to say, she's far away, Too bad I see her every other day.

Why is it that I always get the urge to titter like an evil genius whenever I see a "Hatrack Singles Thread" (of which there have been many)?

It's ancient history, so I think it's a great time to stop bringing it up.
(this isn't stryker, this is someone who finally doesn't have to hear about it everytime she talks to any of her friends, and would like to keep it that way)
