Don't you "duh" me! I got that, its just that a soldier is not my first thought when it comes to language. Therefore, its not the word i would've used if I had written this...

I think it's pretty far-fetched, personally.
Strictly speaking not neccessarily true. After all, look at what the English did to a third of the world!! Of course then the English are, after all, the most------------------------ that ever walked the face of the earth. anyhoo... The dominating culture will hold the greatest influence on the new molded one- language following to some degree. Though not always is the dominating culture the conquering one. Look at Greece+Rome.
