OK, guinea pigs. Here's a list of 80s movie quotes. Guess the movies and tell me if the list is too easy or too hard for the average corporate employee.

No cheating! No googling!

AND DON'T SCROLL DOWN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE THE ANSWERS YET! [Smile]

********

She's gone. She gave me a pen. I gave her my heart, she gave me a pen.

You can be my wingman anytime.

Sonny, true love is the greatest thing in the world--except for a nice MLT--mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is lean and the tomato is ripe.

Nobody puts Baby in a corner.

A pizza? Who said you guys could order a pizza?

No such thing bad student. Only bad teacher.

Gentlemen...we’re history.

I should say you look rather lost, but then I can't imagine where in the world the three of you would look at home.

How could I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this?

Why worry? Each of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back.

Hey Biff, get a load of this guy's life preserver. Dork thinks he's gonna drown.

When you love them they drive you crazy because they know they can.

I know half of them -- Top Gun, the Princess Bride, Dirty Dancing, Karate Kid, Ferris Bueller's Day off, and Ghostbusters.

Which means it's probably not too hard or too easy. It's just right.

I could have sworn the pizza one was from Pretty Woman, but now I'm rather paranoid about it. So, I googled it and nothing showed up, so now I'm wondering about the people who are saying they would have never gotten it.

Kayla, the best place to look for movie quotes is the internal search at imdb.com. Nine times out of ten, if it is an actual quote from an actual movie, it'll show up there.

Of course, I checked the "Gentlemen...we're history" quote and discovered that if there's a stage direction included prior to the quote in the db, then it won't show up in the search, so it isn't failsafe. Still, I got all the ones from imdb that didn't come from my head.

The movie that came immediately to mind for the pizza quote was E.T.

Edit: just googled it to see if I was right. It was more of an impression that the quote left on me. It felt like E.T. I remembered pizza being involved in the movie somehow.

I only saw Pretty Woman once. But I should have thought of it for this list.

Well, it seems like most of these quotes will work. A couple will really throw people for a loop because of their randomness. I mean for these to be on a big sign in our company cafeteria to promote an 80s-themed party the company is throwing. People won't immediately have the chance to google them so they should probably not be so obscure.

I have to go to a meeting now, so I can't monitor this thread any longer. Thanks for participating! [Smile]

[Big Grin] Cool, Kayla! I think all of them have been answered here except the last one.

I like your list of quotes... however there are some gaping holes in what I consider to be significant 80's movies. So if you don't mind, I made my own list of unidentified 80's movies quotes (and no IMDB! That's cheating!)

This information cannot leave this room. Ok? It would devastate my reputation as a dude.

Being bad feels pretty good, huh?

So, what would you little maniacs like to do first?

I have your car towed all the way to your house and all you've got for me is LIGHT beer?

Because these are somebody else's wishes. They're somebody else's dreams.

I'm cruising the local junior highs!

Beautiful animal... canine... dog... mutt.

Correction, I need the superior information in your inferior brain to fly this... thing.

Who loves you and who do you love!

See if you guys can get these in a timely fashion...
