I noticed that for a community that has so many fans of Elliott Smith, there's remarkably few threads regarding the band he started in.
So, is anybody else a fan? I just bought my first CD of theirs today (Cop & Speeder), and while it doesn't compare to Elliott's solo stuff, it's easy to argue that it's not comparable, anyway. The lyrics are still great, and the guitar work is flipping amazing. And after listening to so much of Elliott Smith solo CDs, it's rather refreshing to hear his voice backed with an electric guitar.
