I just found this nifty free program called celestia. It's a space simulator. You can look at the planets and such. The fun thing though is you can zoom out. Zoom out on a universal scale. You are given just one glimpse of the entire unimaginable inifinity of creation. The only thing that was missing was a microscopic sign reading "You are here". Then again it might have annihilated my brain, but it would have been worth it.

Oh, did I mention its completely rendered in 3d. You actually need a pretty good video card to use it.

I saw a movie that did the "zoom out" thing once. Then they zoomed in to atomic sizes. I nearly threw up, I was so disoriented.

I really hope this thing works on my comp, it looks very very cool.

I remember that movie. It's also a book.

It works. When I zoomed in on the sun, I nearly had a heart attack.

How do you get it to zoom out? I can only zoom in on a specific object.

Do you have a mouse scrol wheel? If so use it. I'm not exactly sure how it works. I only got it 30 mins ago.

I'm trying to see if I can center the earth exactly on top of the sun, and try going a parsec away, and then zooming in really fast. Don't ask me why.

My brother hooked that up to my mom's bigscreen TV one time. It was The... The Awesome!

P.S. Though my 8 year old was disappointed that the mysterious planet X wasn't on there.
