Has anyone read a fantasy book where a guy goes off into the London underground and meets up with a girl who can make doors appear? An alterante universe that traces the London Tube? Help. I can't remember the author or title and I lost the book. But I loved it.

Oh, yes. Totally read it. It's brilliant, I think.

Neil Gaiman is something of an acquired taste, but this particular was well done and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I never could get through American Gods and Neverwhere. I'm not sure why, I actually think Gaiman is one of the best authors out there. I LOVE his short fiction and I adore his comics. I guess I need to try his books again.

Edit: Oooh, and I thought Coraline was great.

I like Neil Gaiman, but he uses commas like other people use the letter e.

I think I picked it up in a bookshop one day and read the first couple of chapters. Hm. I'll have to track down a copy some day, if it's recommended!

American Gods is one of my all time favorites, and Neverwhere was good, too.
