I loved penguins and flamingos. I thought she might like a flamingo. Its one of those rare orange, rather than pink, flamingos. And, whether you choose to believe it or not, I'm not trying to make your daughter weird, I swear! [Razz]

KQ,
Keith and family play sometimes until 7AM in the dance tent, and the dance tent is packed the whole time. He is amazing. His grandfather is a famous Cajun musician-Carlton Frank? I think?

Pictures of Ketchup Princess' cake and ice cream are finally up (yes, I had to take pictures for an ebay listing, so emptied the camera first, and my husband put them online to share with friends at another forum. Sorry. I'm lazy about stuff like that sometimes.)

Cake with lighted candle
Emma stuffs her face with cake
Emma decides she likes ice cream, even if it is too cold to eat with one's fingers

And as an apology for waiting so long (and becuase it's up) a more recent one of Emma in headphones, listening to music (Not For Kids Only, Jerry Garcia and David Grisman, if you were curious. It's her favorite album-- well, that and Rabbits Dance, which is Marcia Berman singing songs by Malvina Reynolds.) That's another traditional shot, at least in my family. [Big Grin] You can see the mess she had made in the background before we got her to calm down a little and listen to some music. *sigh*

In case anyone wanted to see:

The cake (my "fingerpainting" technique worked wonderfully)
The table set buffet-style to fit the "ducky" theme, including the bathtub holding the drinks [Big Grin]
Here you can see the table setup, including the bubbles decorated with duckies to match the cake-- they were used to entertain the babies, then guests got to take them home
And, just to make everyone hungry, the food we ate (YUM!)

I thought it was fun. I was like, "We don't have room for drinks in our fridge."
KPC: "Well, we have a cooler, and we can get some ice."
Me: "Ooh! Or we could use her bathtub, because it's a ducky, too!"

It even quacks when you squeeze the beak. [Big Grin]
