Oh, Zeugma, we have to make it work this time! Plus, you will get to see Aidan play in his first rock band!

Haha, I don't drive anything. And if I had a choice and viable options, I wouldn't drive at all, which in Ithaca generally works out pretty well.

Ooh, where "don't want to drive" put you in the "sexual orientation based on car choice"(or vice versa) spectrum?

By the way, are you coming to drop Jane off?
No, unfortunately. The Kidnapping Victim will be doing the honors.
I thought I might be coming up Columbus Day weekend to drive JaneX to NY to spend the weekend and see "Avenue Q," but it is looking as though that might be too expensive for us, right now.
Hope to be up there on some future occasion, though, and I expect you to remember that we have a date.

Hmm, it kind of fits with the Ithaca attitude I suppose. And Ithaca is very very lesbian friendly. I love driving, but I don't think driving is sustainable under current conditions.

That's all very interesting and funny, of course, but sorry, I'm still reeling from what I've just discovered about my parents' marriage!

Ela, what an appropriate thread for a discussion of or date! What should I drive to pick you up?
Kojabu, I am listening to IY right now, a youngster band, sort of pop, but really awesome. I saw a few songs of theirs at GR. Check them out if you can!

I've heard of them, they played in the Battle of the Bands that all my friends' bands were in. I don't recall hearing them though.

Icarus, Ithaca is known for both its vegetarian population and its high percentage of Volvo owners. Doesn't everyone know that? Sheesh.

I think Tante's more likely to win the "lesbian without knowing it" award between flirting with kojabu and begging for some one to save her from suburban monotony...

Umm... bicycle?
<laugh> Very nice.
I drive a Suzuki compact station wagon. I didn't even know that Suzuki made cars until I got this one. My partner hates it with a vengeance, because you can actually feel the road. She drives this big boat of an Oldsmobile, which needs about 3 lanes to make a U turn in.
My first car was a Saturn SL2. I had it for about a month and a half before driving it off of a 300 foot cliff and turning it into so much tinfoil. <wistfully> I really liked that car...

I love what he put for location.
About 15 years ago, my parents wanted to take me out for dinner, but I was already keeping kosher, so we decided to go to a place called Ken's Diner, in Skokie. I couldn't remember the address, so my Dad called on his carphone, got the number, and called Ken's.
Ken: Ken's Diner. Dad: Hi. Can you tell me where you're located? Ken: In the back of the store.
Dead silence.
Dad: Okay. Let's try that again. Ken: Sure. Ken's Diner. Dad: Hi. Can you tell me where you're located? Ken: (gave the address)
