Editing a post seems to slow Hatrack down, and deleting a post or thread takes it even longer.
Yeah, there's a glitch, but twenty people deleting all the current multiple-posts is (in my totally uninformed opinion) causing a cascading evil-pyramid-scheme (as though there were any other kind of pyramid scheme) effect.

I think what Pop is trying to say is that editing a post seems to slow Hatrack down, and deleting a post or thread takes it even longer.

Are you sure? Cause I thought he was saying that deleting double posts was causing a cascade effect, slowing hatrack down even more.

Not all the time, Tater -- it's just that tons of people are all doing it at the same time right now.
I also suspect there may be a bot that's scanning Hatrack regularly, since the webmaster said the problem seems to be happening around the same time on various days. But again, that's a completely uninformed opinion.

I have no idea. I don't know if there is a bot -- I was just throwing out ideas. Doesn't appear to be a DoS attack, though, because it only seems to affect this portion of the forum. I just have no real idea.
