I looked on the AIM.com help section and I can't find it anywhere, so I figured this would be the best place to ask.

Whenever I go to log on to AIM, I get an error that says "Sign on blocked". I can't, for the life of me, figure out what is wrong with it. It's the same for my whole family. I'm leaning towards something with our AOL accounts. The only one left who uses AOL is my little brother. Any help would be appreciated.

so you have a main AOL account...and your AIM names are also your AOL names?

My guess is your brother did something to get you kicked off of AOL, which made it so you can't use your aim names either. You should have the person who owns the master screen name of your AOL account (the person who pays the bills) call them and ask what is up.

You can only use your AOL name as your AIM name if the AOL account is in good standing. So if the account is closed voluntarily, closed by AOL for gross negligence, or under review for terms of service violations, you're locked out of using those AOL names on AIM. BTDT.
