Ok, I have to ask. Is "Firefly" really THAT good? Cause the "Serenity" trailer doesn't say much to me. It just looks like a sometimes-funny-with-guns-and-explosions SF & adventure movie.
Mind you - it took me an episode to warm up to it. Tony and I bought the DVDs, and while he loved it from the word go it was only about half-three quarters of the way through the first (double) episode I started to like it.
It took two episodes more and I loved it.
Now I have rewatched the first episode several times and love it all. But it did take, for me, a little getting into.
I guess it was all a bit guns 'n action for me at first - though that's not what the series is really about. Although it kinda is.

Huh...I hope this does happen, or else Serenity and MirrorMask will both be coming out on the same day! Not sure I could handle the overwhelming wonderfulness of that.

Never mind, 9/30 is only the limited release date for MirrorMask, and I doubt they'll have it here that early.

THe trailer is missing the quirky sense of humor, i mean, it's funny, but not firefly funny. It's missing indepth character relationsships. It's missing in depth characters, period. It's missing Kaylee and Book.
You can't show everything in a teaser trailer. I suspect there will be more, that show you different sides of firefly.
But yes, this movie (and the DVDs) ARE worth seeing.

YIPEE! Less time to wait for the movie! I just watched the DVDs for the first time, and I'm really psyched about it now!
