So I'm sitting here watching Jeopardy, and ABC news jumps in with the announcement that Bush will be announcing his nomination of John Roberts for the Supreme Court this evening, complete with commentary by Stephanopalus and a report from the field. Is this entirely necessary? People aren't watching Jeopardy now so they can find out about breaking news. A 30 second sound bite, followed by "Tune in at x:00 for details and the actual speech" would've sufficed.
This is why I don't watch TV news, but it seems I can't avoid it now, doesn't it?
Too bad I'm not a Nielson statistic. I could've turned it off when that came on, and it would've actually affected something.

Serves you right for watching the stuff in the first place. Go read a book, or better still play a game.
