I am invited to an Eagle Scout Party. It's the son of a colleague.

What sort of gift (if any) would be appropriate?

A giftcard? If you knew him well, I'd suggest some really cool Eagle Scout gifts I've seen, but they're not the sort of stuff you give to a kid you don't know. Give him $20 or so at Target or a music store, write a "congratulations" note, and call it good.
