Are there any free AIM clients for the Palm Treo? Apparently even the one from AOL is not free.

My dad asked me to find out from my "buddies" (I guess that's all of y'all) if there were any free options.

Failing that, what are the best pay options?

I would think AOL Quickbuddy might work.

I haven't tried it, though.

I was trying to figure out what AIM had to do with public displays of affection. I guess too manny *kiss*es can get a little unpleasant.

If you're giving a public display of affection, you'd better not miss, neh?

It's not, but I thought maybe the browser could handle it.

My dad says:
quote:
Works like a champ. Not a heavyweight champ - no smileys and doesn't indicate whether someone is on but idle or on. But when you are connected, even if you are in another application and even if the Palm is off (but the phone is running in background) it will receive IMs and give you an alert!

Pretty neat. Thanks.
