No, actually, Ben had me cancel with that hotel because they wanted $75.00 a day for the meeting room. I think he's just planning to have folks meet up at his place or something, though he can't seemed to be arsed to tell anybody.
And we probably will play games and stuff on Saturday, since Ela and Janex can't go very far on the Sabbath. Though some will probably just do whatever.

i have a crapload of movies. and access to blockbuster yo!
and hotel was ripping us off, so we killed that. As far as i can tell, the only non locals coming (confirmed anyhow) are ela and jane. I am looking at hotels around my place that are not far at all, like right out the door for you guys on friday night. I also have a couch bed and a futon and all that good stuff. My place has surround sound, plenty of sitting space.

See, I'd invite people to stay at my place . . . but it's not entirely my place . . . and I'm not sure how kindly my folks would take to people I've met online sleeping on our couch.

Our get-together starts this coming Friday, January 13, the start of Martin Luther King weekend, and will continue Saturday and, hopefully, Sunday. I don't know about Monday - JaneX and I will still be around by then, but will have to start heading home Monday morning, most likely.

I think that people are meeting at Ben and my apartment.
Taalcon is doing lunch with Ben, I think. I think people will start showing up after that . . .
I don't get off work until 5, so I won't be there until at least 5:30 (probably closer to 6, since it's a Friday).
Black Mage, are your parents okay with you meeting random internet strangers? Would they prefer to meet Ben and me first to make sure we're not psychopaths? Or would they like you to meet in a public place? I know you'd be perfectly fine here, but I'd rather not make them (or you) uncomfortable.

i might try and get out there a bit early on friday so i dont have to drive later in any traffic. also, i used to work in catering for Jason's Deli and might, repeats MIGHT, be able to get some lunch for us very cheap if that is something anyone wants.
Also, im not sure where and who im going to meet on friday, im guessing Ben. i would like a phone number emailed to me tho please just so i can call while on the road if i get lost or anything.

We will be arriving sometime Friday afternoon, depending on traffic. We thought we would head straight to Ben's and head off to wherever we are sleeping later, depending on what people (chiefly Olivet ) think will work best.
Olivet, I PM'd you about travel plans/sleeping arrangements. Please let me know what you think is the best plan, in terms of when and where we should arrive (and send me directions to your house, please).
