Her character in Freaks and Geeks so reminded me of myself in high school. Except that I did the advanced math stuff and hung out with the slacker crowd.

We can't forget Smithers from the Simpsons. The sad thing is that he has the hots for Mr. Burns.

I don't know if Smithers is actually "out", but I wouldn't say you ciould exactly call him closeted, either.

Actually, he's the worst kind of closeted. He's pretty obviously gay, but thinks no one else knows.

The mouse from Tom and Jerry (I'm not sure what his name is). I always feel bad for the cat and how he always loses. Poor cat.

The entire 70's version of Justice League all seemed a bit too friendly, if you know what I mean.

Although a cross-dresser, I do not think that Bugs Bunny was gay. However, I do know some men who thought that Bugs was kind of sexy when he was in drag.
I'm not sure I quite understand the relationship between Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, but I'm getting a lesbian "Aunt Bea" kind of vibe off of Aunt Harriet.
In any event, Robin is just too young for Batman. It is kind of like a yucky NMBLA thing.

quote:In one issue of Justice League of America in the sixties, the heroes discover they have contracted a cosmic plague that will doom everyone they've recently touched. Green Lantern shudders to think that he has infected his eternal fiancée, Carol Ferris. The Flash realizes he has doomed his beloved, Iris West. Even the Atom thinks about the fate that will befall the woman in his life, Jean Loring...
Batman, meanwhile, thinks: "Robin...what have I done to you?"

Trivia Question: What was Peppermint Patty's last name?
Google concensus seems to be Reichardt. I have the strip where she says her full name to some official at school *somewhere*, but I'm feeling too lazy to search through around 100 Peanuts books to find it.
I think Kunuo Tatewaki from Ranma 1/2 isn't admitting to himself the real reason he's attracted to Ranma.

*** Popeye Evidence: Eats lots of salad. Wears a sailor suit, even though he hasn't been on a ship in years. Does little sailor-dances. Dates a flat-chested transvestite named Olive Oyl. Best friend named Wimpy.
Edit: There is also a whole section devoted to this stuff here
Edit #2: The link is to the section that I was referrring to. The entire site is hilarious though.

Vegeta? Heck no. I had the biggest crush on him in 6th grade- he was that "bad boy" that all the girls had to admit they loved. Freeza, however... come on, evil villian wearing... black lipstick?

Underdog had a big drug thing, what with that "super energy pill" hidden in the secret compartment of his ring.
