There's a whale in London.

Poor little (18ft. 7 tonne) thing. [Frown]

I've always wondered if that was possible ... I guess that answers it. I hope they get it turned around.

The BBC posted an update on this not long ago...I hope the whale makes it all right.

I always wonder with things like this - can't the whales tell that the water isn't as salty as ocean water? From what I know, the Thames estuary is pretty big, but by London it should be far enough upstream for there to be a noticeable difference in the taste/buoyancy/something. And as highly developed as whales are, it seems logical to me that they'd have some sort of sensory mechanism built in to prevent this. But then, maybe it just doesn't happen often enough for something like that to have developed. And I guess a whale has as much right as any creature to be confused every once in a while. [Smile]

Trying to find out if there is any intelligent life on land. Considering London's fishing policies, probably not.
