I have to say that I don't find that very funny. You could make the exact same joke about any wildly successful company; those things aren't really related to Pixar.

I think it's more of a playful-jab type joke. The author of this comic is dating (married to?) a girl who works for the bloodsucking corporation, and loves it there.
