So, I recently found out that I earned the scholarship money I needed in order to study in France this summer, and obviously I'm pretty pumped about it. It was all thanks to a few professors in particular who wrote some recommendation letters for me (and have written them for me on other occasions in the past), and now I'm trying to think of a few different ideas for small gifts to say thank you for everything they've done for me. Does anyone have some suggestions?

I think that the letter thanking them for what they did for you would a wonderful present all by itself.

I once gave some of my professors products from my home state. I think it might have been marionberry jam--Oregon's known for its marionberries.

I was thinking that I should have added a notice to my post that I didn't want to see any references to the Washington DC Mayor Whose Name Oregonians Do Not Speak. Guess I should have.

Don't do food or candles, foods can cause people to go off diets, and many candles cause minor allergic reactions.

Is there a reason why Oregonians in particular don't like Marion Barry? Not that you need one, I'm just curious.
