Here be the topic for sentences that don't warrant an entire topic. (There are probably other topics like this one, but NONE with this title.)
Did you guys notice that the Begging the Question thread celebrated its 4th birthday on April 19th? That thread is 4 fricking years old! Blows my mind.

"Just sayin'" is one of my favorite disclaimers. You can vent any kind of offensive calumny, and follow it up with an "I'm just sayin'", and it is like you made yourself argument-proof. And if someone does try to call you on your statement, you can reiterate, "Hey, I was just sayin'."
"Tante Shvester thinks she is the flipping queen of Hatrack, posting at all hours of the day and night, and making all kinds of sarcastic and snide remarks, and contributing nothing of worth to the community. I'm just sayin'"
"Hey, don't say that about Tante! OMG! She's teh awesome!"
"Nah, I was just sayin'."

Tante, my personal favorite is "bless his/her heart." You can get away with pretty much any insult imaginable as long as you add these three words.
"My neighbor has gotta be the stupidest person on the planet, bless his heart."
"Bless her heart, she has worse fashion sense than Madonna."
"I can't believe that Bill, bless his heart, actually thinks that The Day After Tomorrow was a good movie."

I miss hearing that one - no one up here in the Cold North says that. But I hear a lot of "yoo know wot I'm sayin'?" I'm just sayin'.

Yeah, well, so did I.
Edit to add: except it wasn't my 4th.

I'm 35 today. That officially marks me as middle-aged, right? That's rather depressing.
Just sayin'.
Oh, and I certainly do appreciate the knowledge of grammar demonstrated by Hatrackers who know that omitted letters in a word should be indicated by an apostrophe.
Just appreciatin' the just sayin' thread.

I read an article once in which the writer and his friends had determined that the official entry of middle-age-hood was 37-and-a-half. Sounded about right to me, at the time ... but I was much younger then. It's coming awfully fast.

I'm jealous that I've been around Hatrack for almost 4 years (holy cow!) and I still don't know how to make a blank post like that. Granted I haven't tried, but I just feel like it's kind of a rite of passage for true Hatrackers. Just sayin'.
And, I'm only sorta awake. Sorry.

I just acquired an extra little cat today, sort of by accidental necessity. She's a tiny thing, I don't even know if she counts as a full cat, more like .75 cat, really. She seems to have decided to live under the dining room table. Which is not too bad, actually, when I first got Miss Emmy she insisted on hiding in the bathtub for the first two weeks. Now that was annoying. I'm just saying.
