I never did like that song and think imagine probably describes some residual drug induced haze left over from when Lennon thought he was better than God rather than it describing some happy Nirvanaish place where all can live as one. Since clocks keep time, does it mean that time stops when a clock stops?

Nope, there's always a good ol' sun-dile, but if THAT stops, then you're onto something. If the earth left orbit and began sailing away from the sun, how long would humanity last?

I suppose you’re thinking of a “spiraling away" scenario. So it would depend on the rate of the increasing distance between the E arth and the S un. As it would get farther and farther, the (average) temperature would drop and drop and eventually everything (including “hell”) would freeze over. If the rate was slow enough, people would “get ready” and “keep the seed of Humanity” going as long as possible , which would be irrelevant long before the Earth got past the present Mars’ orbit. If you’re thinking of a meteorite altering the orbit of the Earth, it would be so “catastrophic” that it would instantly wipe out Human race on Earth at the same time. If you’re thinking of a “melting away of all rules of Physics” scenario, then we’ll be finally able to see if atheists were right all along. Note: The Earth will be swallowed by the growing Sun (and becoming a Red Giant, as a part of its life cycle as a star) and won’t let the Earth “escape” at any rate. We will be united with our life giver – the underrated Sun. Do you believe in something so strongly that you would give your life for it?

Actually, no . The fact that you have such a belief tells me more about you than whatever that belief actually is. Do you think that your life is entirely your responsibility, and that you can decide to end it whenever you want?

Not really, I kind of agree with you that Carrie's question wasn't particularly answerable on a forum. What is the answer to the question that you are going to ask in your post?

I don't like their music at all and I think Cobain was an overrated guitarist, but I respect them for basically creating a genre. Even if I don't like that genre. Why do you like the band Rush so much?

Beowulf. I know it is already a movie, but I want to see it made into a really contemporary what-would-happen-if-Grendel-showed-up-in-the-20th-century type of movie. Maybe set in the 80s, and the warriors are all flashy gang members with pink bandannas and wild hair. Radical. If your child had to dress like one 80s icon every day for the rest of his/her life, which one would you choose?
