Because you were on a sabattical living as a monk who took a vow of silence and was sequestered on a hillside in Tibet.

I'm content--it takes less energy to maintain than being happy.

Why do kids never nap on the days I need a nap myself?

I don't think that she'll get the Democratic nomination. If she did, how I would vote would depend entirely on who was running against her. I'm not a passionate advocate of hers, but I don't hate her either.

None. (Depending on one's definitions for 'meaning,' 'suffering,' and 'innocent.')

On the other hand, that shouldn't stop me from allaying and preventing suffering (even the suffering of putative 'non-innocents').

What do you do, in your life, to allay the suffering of others?

Tell them you are being held captive in your own home and you need help. This works on cellection agencies I've heard so I expect it would also work on telemarketers.
