sorry for the short attention span and not making it through the article at this juncture but let me just tell you: having a hawk swoop down over my shoulder (within about 3 inches of my ear) to snatch up a small squirrel (maybe chipmunk, it was hard to tell from a distance) while I was walking between classes a couple years ago was one of the coolest experiences of my life.
I love squirrels, but Purdue was absolutely infested... to the point where the school paper would have a series of articles, editorials, letters etc each semester. It was great, whenever some big controversy would arise and the letters section would degenerate into a bunch of liberal/conservative namecalling it would without fail be diverted by a series decrying the abuse or lack of representation of squirrels in student government =p

I feel used and manipulated, having clicked into this thread only to discover a startling lack of squirrel porn and furry anecdotes.

Ya know, I was really careful when googling for a link, but it was 'cause I was worried about vivisection websites, not squirrel porn. Sorry.
T.Grimace, there's no need to make it through the article. It's a dobie. You should just groan and/or chuckle and move on.

Once again--I never read the other thread but TOTALLY thought it said experimentation every time I saw the title.
