Warning: Contains Spoilers for Ender's Game.
Since the Buggers, after finding out we are all sentient, decided not to attack us, they effectively wanted to leave us alone and/or make peace. The final battle where Ender destroyed their homeplanet made it so that we never could do such a thing. But...
Had Ender lost the final battle against the Buggers, it would have taken another 40 years to send another fleet. In this time, the Buggers surely would have figured out (they were already trying) how to contact us and make peace. What if they did? There would be an interesting series that I say:
OSC, you should consider that!

No, but still everytime anyone ever does post anything like this, a mess of people jump in and start whining about how the book could have been ruined for one who has not read it.

Aww, leave the poor guy alone already. He posts the spoiler warning and gets jumped on for posting it and you jump on him for his bad explanation of the reason for posting it. Jump on the guy grumbling at him for posting the warning in the first place if you feel the need to grumble at some one. Or better yet, ignore the entire exchange and answer the bloody post.
That would be an interesting alternate history. Maybe someone could write it in the form of fan fiction as Ender's dream of what could have been right after he destroyed them or something like that. Or maybe a dream of what could be sent by the buggers before he destroys them.
