I'm down, down underground
I'm down, I'm really down
How can you laugh when know I'm down?

In order to hit both of martha's I'm going to have to use three lines:

"But then he rose, brilliant as the moon in full
And sank in the burrows of my keep
And all my armour falling down, in a pile at my feet"

Noemon, I don't see what your linkword is.

In response to kq's lyrics:
"One fine day
You're gonna want me for your girl"
- Chiffons

In response to Noemon's lyrics:
"Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got till it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parkin' lot"
- Joni Mitchell, and later the Counting Crows

So, whoever's next can use either of these to jump off of.

Sorry about that, martha. I've bolded the key word.

"My men were clothed all in green,
And they did ever wait on thee;
All this was gallant to be seen,
And yet thou wouldst not love me"

Greensleeves, an English folk song of uncertain origin.

(Just nitpicking here: the phrase is "fare thee well," so you can't use the misspelled "fair" as a linkword... unless you're playing a fun lyrics game and don't want to interrupt the flow for annoying nitpickers.)

"Hallelujah" was written by Leonard Cohen.

I realize we've been putting down performers rather than writers generally, but since there are several relatively popular versions of this song (see this wiki page), and since RW does write most of the songs he performs, I thought it might be a valid point to make.
