I just finished Cyteen, by C. J. Cherryh, and overall it was excellent. The characters were great, the story was involving and complex - it's obvious why it won the Hugo for best novel.

I fell abandoned now that I've finished though. So many threads were left dangling. All kinds of big mysteries are never answered, complex plot points were left wide open. The cover says "complete in one volume", but I think there needs to be another volume or two in order to finish up the story.

Anyone else have the same feeling? Are Cherryh's other books of similar quality (with similar unfinished feel)?

I've read Cyteen a few times and love it.
I just read a few days ago that she is writing the sequel. I hope it's as good as the first novel.

I thought Cyteen came to a good conclusion, but I can see your point that the story continues. I think that's inevitable in an ongoing sci-fi literary universe though.
