Does anyone know of a good software for creating photo slideshows on DVD and making DVD's from home movies?

Preferably cheap or free.

I think that Windows Movie Maker will do this. There are tutorials on that site and you should be able to find a download there as well.

Actually, on further review, you would also need some DVD authoring software to put the video project onto a DVD that would be viewable on a standalone DVD player. I haven't tried either of these but here are a couple of freeware options: DVD Flick and this one from Videohelp.com
