In case anyone didn't realize, sunset tonight is the beginning of Shavuot, which commemerates the anniversary of the day when Moses received the 611 mitzvot on Mt. Sinai.

Moshe got 613 commandments. Two of them had been given already by God, but that doesn't mean that they weren't included in the ones Moshe brought down from Sinai. Pedant.

Moshe did receive 613 commandments. But not all of them at Mt. Sinai.

The latter point is debatable. But not all of them on Shavuos, at any rate. [Smile]

Well, we had a lovely kiddush luncheon with lots of ice cream. I missed the service because when we went to take Aerin into the sanctuary, she thought we were leaving and started to scream. Next year.

Of course she spent a good part of the luncheon running up and down the main aisle of the empty sanctuary with the other children. [Roll Eyes]
