The moderator told me he didn't feel it necessary to sticky this one. I think he feels guilty for being on vacation and missing stickying someone's wedding announcement last week.

Mooseling is the generic term (mosling is a possible alternative). Mooselet is a male name, and is our firstborn.
I would assume a girl will get a Squirrel-related screenname, though Mama and I haven't discussed it in detail yet.

Well if it's some sort of name involving squirrel, It seems to me that the word squirrel does not lend itself well to additional syllables being tacked on at the end. You'd probably do better to put something in front.
Anasquirrel, Pollysquirrel, etc.
Not that I have any particular attachment to those suggestions, they just came to mind. Squirrelette et al just doesn't sound quite right to me.
