A glaze made of high fructose corn syrup mixed with corn starch and stabilizers is much cheaper than powdered(sucrose)sugar

I may have jumped to a wrong conclusion from the number of hits I got by googling "dunkin' donuts" "high fructose corn syrup".
Looking at www.fastfoodingredients.com, I now notice that Dunkin’ Donuts Powdered Cake Stick uses sugar but not HFCS. Still not sure what kind of sugar since glucose and fructose are sugars (and the primary sweeteners in HFCS). Other types of donuts can be found on the following pages.
Might also want to take a look (at the links on the side of the page) for ingredients lists of their other products. A rather surprising amount of HFCS is used.

When one is eating a glazed donut, the alteration of the nutritional content, and the overall effects on health, are essentially not present between sugar and HFCS.
you are still eating a glazed donut.
