So how about it, AH? It's been a decade since I saw it, but Ichi still sticks with me as something I wish I hadn't seen. Is it indicative of Miike's style overall, or is it a special case?

The Ichi manga is the best comic I've ever read, hands down. It beats out Miyazaki's Nausicca, All Star Superman, Ennis's run on Punisher, and even The Invisibles.
Far crazier and more sadistic than the movie, though.
