Okay, so not quite Batman. But kinda close.

quote:
Grint will play the title role of Clyde, the well-meaning and sweet yet slightly neurotic guy who never feels like he really fits in. The avid comic book reader considers himself a borderline agoraphobic with mild to severe anxiety issues who wishes he were a super hero himself. When Clyde inherits a $100,000 a month inheritance from his long-dead eccentric Uncle Bill, he decides that the cash will be his secret super power and will use it only for good and reward the good-hearted.
The write-up.

This sounds extremely idealistic and I am genuinely looking forward to watching the first episode.

Sounds like it will have that Touched By an Angel/ Quantum Leap/Highway to Heaven/Incredible Hulk feel of helping random strangers every episode.

Given the creator, probably a little more like My Name is Earl, but yeah.

Sounds a bit like the Secret Millionaire reality show.

It could be sweet and I like Grint a lot as a comedy actor - although who knows what his ability to do some kind of American accent is like, hopefully passable at least.

Anyone else think that Ron Weasely sounds less like a character's name then Rupert Grint?

It sounds like a mix between Batman, The Tick and Kick-Ass, which might actually work, in a weird way. Creator Greg Garcia (Raising Hope, My Name Is Earl) brings a solid resume of comedy credentials, so it should at least be pretty funny.
Wait-- how does it sound like The Tick?

Tick was a moron, the reporter likened agoraphobia and neurotic behavior to idiocy.
